Todd & Dayle's Big Adventure Quiz

The tree in the first picture:

A. is about 15 - 20 feet off of the ground.

B. is 100 feet up and being buffeted by a fierce crosswind.

C. was chopped down by Todd and Dayle using primitive handmade tools to traverse a large chasm and rescue a stranded boy scout troop.

D. is actually just a prop from the big budget, major release, action/thriller, "buddy movie" Todd and Dayle are currently shooting.

The second picture:

a. is an artsy experiment attempted by Todd to express his creative nature.

b. was taken as a shadowy figure tried to assassinate Todd and Dayle with his "shadow-sabre".

c. is a figment of your imagination.

d. was immediately preceded by the first picture and immediately followed by the third.

The stream in the third picture:

A) is actually larger and further down than it appears in the picture.

B) is filled with piranhas that had killed several careless hikers earlier that very day.

C) was photographed because there was nothing else interesting nearby.

D) does not inspire me enough to warrant laboring to come up with another marginally humorous option.

Immediately after the last picture was taken:

1. Todd and Dayle turned and wearily dragged themselves the last, mostly uphill half mile back to the parking lot.

2. a giant condor swooped down, but Todd and Dayle, with their catlike reflexes, escaped whilst a nearby, less nimble hiker was carried away.

3. park personnel turned off the water and carefully put away all the boulders and greenery for the night.

4. Ed McMahon, out of nowhere, presented Dayle with a large check, then said "oops, wrong guy", immediately grabbed it back, and disappeared into the scenery just as quickly as he had appeared.

Janet's quiz answers: all C, except for the last question that oddly changed to numbered answers (why was that??), in which case I chose 3.

I also nominate said anonymous comment for the best comments ever award.

I'd also like to add that while Todd took pics and Ryan provided the backpack, it was ME who cut Dayle's hair. Well, not really, but I wanted recognition for SOMETHING, and I wasn't going to take credit for that orange shirt:)

I really like Todd's artsy photo.

You know, sometimes I think that I should change out of my pajamas and go outside, but maybe I can just go on DAyle and Todd's adventures vicariously without ever leaving my house. Thanks guys.

First of all, although Todd does have a really good eye for photography, the shadow picture idea was stolen from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Janet, Trudy will be really upset that after 20 years of work, you're trying to take credit for her work of art: my hair.

About the awful shirt. My motto: safety first. This is Mississippi which is an awful like Louisiana in the fact that we all have 12 guns. Translation: I'm not a deer or a small big foot - don't shoot.

On behalf of the 185,000 associates of Home Depot, we thank you for wearing the orange shirt Dayle

Ryan, I hate to break this to you, but being a Tony Stewart fan does not bestow upon you Home Depot associate status.

Dayle! We have to go back and hike that trail again. In the midst of our preoccupation with steep hills, waterfalls, and large birds of prey soaring majestically overhead, we forgot the reason we chose that locale in the first place - rare land snails!!!

Dayle James Arceneaux said...

Ah, yes. The rare and apparently elusive land snail.

Unless they're the same as all the snails I used to find in my backyard.

Hey Brooke!!!! I wish I was there.

Where do you want to go?

p.s. Since I'm not really playing golf no more, I'm gonna have to go visit ya'll one day.

One more thing, Brooke.

I was hoping to find some rocks for you but none of them glittered like the ones from the Smokies.

Nice photos, Dayle . . .

OK:

A. No Donna ... we will not tone it down!

B) Jerry ... the photos ... it was ME!

3. I held out as long as could, but my "dysfunctional need" finally overcomes me ... the Quiz was ME too! ME! ME! ME!

Of course I'm only admitting it now to get credit for being the one who was humble enough to post that without needing to take credit for it ...
